Paalali Estate

Paalali Estate was purchased by AVG Group from the British Company called Paalali Estate Ltd. in the year 1943, and is a part of Kailas Rubber Company Ltd., a division of AVG Group, Kottayam. At that time the Estate comprised of only one Division - Paalali – and the Labour Colony. Some areas were acquired for the construction of Chittar Dam-1 and later ABC Plantations were purchased and it became a division of the Estate. From the old stones laid in the fields it seems that the earliest planting in Paalali was way back in 1929 and in ABC in 1964. The second cycle of replanting is progressing in Paalali – started in 2003 and expected to be over by 2016. The first cycle of replanting was over in ABC by 1998.
Paalali Estate is situated in Kanyakumari District, Tamilnadu, comprises of two divisions- Paalali at Kaliyal Village, Vilavancodu Taluk and ABC Division at Thripparappu Village, Kalkulam Taluk. The Labour Colony with Coconut grove and the Bungalow at Kulasekharam in Thiruvattar Village, Kalkulam Taluk are the parts of Paalali Division.
